Actually if you think about it they CAN be closely linked - like say a woman has had one hell of a day and her man takes it upon himself to take her legs up on his lap and give 'er a good ole foot rubbin (no strings attached.) I can't say the foot-to-foot thing has ever been tried by ole Cruiser here, but your explanation does make sense. I was trying to figure out how I could do that whilst with a member of the opposite sex, but I think saying "Honey, can you keep doing exactly what you're doing, where you're doing it AND move a bit to the left so I can merge the soles of my feet" might just cause a man's brain to implode.

My guess is that by touching your feet together your disconnecting yourself more from your surroundings. With the soles of your feet together, your getting your mind to think that your not actually on the bed/tub etc which should have a positive impact. Perhaps your feet are just sensitive and like the stimulation.
