Here's the cute little chick.
And here is the baby "meat" chick that was hatched the SAME day.
Notice his lack of feathers compared to the other one. I think their bodies grow so fast that their feathers can't keep up.
My Mom told me that the meat chickens like to sleep in the food bowls. It's most likely because the food bowls are just the right size to feel like a nest to them at this point, but I like to think it's because they just plain like to sleep in their beloved feed, AND keep the other chicks from getting any.

Does she raise buffalo for their wings too? My kids are dying to see the buffalo that produce the wings we love so much!
That's funny, I just learned why they call them buffalo wings the other day from the Food Network.
